NEC & Premature Infants – What the Science Suggests

Research has suggested that premature infants fed cow's milk-based formula have a higher risk of developing NEC compared with those fed human milk or donor human milk. Lawsuits allege that formula manufacturers knew or should have known of this risk and failed to adequately warn NICUs and parents. Plaintiffs seek compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, and in wrongful-death cases, for the loss of their child.

    Who may qualify

Parents or guardians of a premature infant who was fed Similac, Enfamil, or other cow's milk-based formula and developed NEC may be candidates for a free case review. Estates of infants who died from NEC may also have claims. A law firm can evaluate your situation.
